Indians Can Now Apply for Visitor Visa Online for Australia from July 1

Indians tourists will soon be able to apply for Australia’s visitor visa online. The Australian High Commission and Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection announced for the service to be operational from July 1, where in the eligible Indian tourist can apply online for visa through ImmiAccount portal. The service of online application will also provide Indian applicants 24/7 accessibility, facilities of e-payment and checking the status of the application.

The online service will also contribute in speeding the visa process as both applications and supporting documentation will be immediately available to the concerned office. Also, the online service will make it convenient for the form to be filled by a third party such as a family member, a travel agent, or its contracted visa application centre, VFS, of course with the due permission of the applicant. It is to be noted that Australia has been gaining a lot of popularity amongst Indian holidaymakers. Between July 2016 to March 2017, more than 265,000 Indian visitor visited Australia, which shows a significant increase of 15.4% compared to the same period the year prior.
