Your six-day journey to the bewitchingly beautiful Bhutan would commence from Bagdogra, a picturesque town that is quite close to the tea gardens of Darjeeling. After savoring the aroma of fresh tea at Bagdogra, you will commence your journey through the southern border town of Phuntsholing. After collecting permits from Phuntsholing and gorging traditional food, you will ride to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan and a commercial hub that challenges the image of Bhutan as a calm place. When in Thimphu, visit some famous attractions that speak about its history like Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), King's Memorial Chorten (Monument) and Folk Heritage Museum. With a bag full of souvenirs and paintings, you will further visit Paro, the last place on the itinerary and a charming town that lies on the banks of the Paro (or Pa) Chhu river. In Paro, visit the famous attractions of the region and especially, the restaurants to savor scrumptious local cuisine. On arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri, you will embark on a drive to Phuentsholing, a border town towards Southern Bhutan. When in Phuentsholing, check-in the hotel for overnight stay.
In the morning, after completing the immigration formalities, drive for 176 kilometers to reach Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. After check-in the hotel, relax for a while and then visit Tashichho Dzong. Overnight stay will be arranged in the Thimphu hotel.
Post breakfast at the Thimphu hotel, visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), King's Memorial Chorten (Monument) and Folk Heritage Museum. After exploring the attractions of Thimphu, drive for two hours to reach Paro, where you will check in the hotel for overnight stay.
Post breakfast, you will do a full day sightseeing tour of Paro district. Today, you will cover the famous attractions of the region like Ta Dzong - National Museum, Rinpung Dzong, and Drukgyel Dzong. Overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel in Paro.
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Phuentsholing. On arrival check in at the hotel. Rest of the day will be free for leisure. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Post breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
